Notice to all ACLM Fellows

President Veling Tsai wishes to notice all Fellows of a Vote to be taken at the Fellows Meeting to be held on February 22 in Scottsdale, AZ.  This Vote concerns the Proposed Bylaws changes, which are presented below for your review. 


Proposed Bylaw Changes
 
Section 7.2 Standing Committee
Addition of “Education Fund Committee” under Education Council
 
Section 3.1 (h) BOG
Changing the “president of the ACLM foundation” to education fund committee chair
 
Section 11.3 Proxy Voting     
Amended as follows:
“No voting by proxy shall be permitted in the conduct of the business of the College or at any of the meetings of the Fellows of the College, Board of Governors or any of the Committees.  Nevertheless, where authorized in these Bylaws or by a vote of the Fellows of the College, voting may be by mail, email, or other electronic means.
 
Article XIII 
Checks, notes, drafts, acceptances, bills of exchange and other orders or obligations for payment of money greater than One Thousand Five Hundred dollars ($1,500.) for any single transaction, whether paid by a single check or in the aggregate by more than a single check, shall be signed by the Treasurer and countersigned by the President, Secretary or Executive Director or other person or persons as the Board of Governors may designate from time to time. Payment of money less than or equal to One Thousand Five Hundred dollars ($1,500.) for any single transaction, whether paid by a single check or in the aggregate by more than a single check, may be signed by the Executive Director or by any other person or persons as the Board of Governors may designate from time to time.”

“The ACLM Executive Committee will be responsible for the review, update and enforcement of the ACLM Financial Disbursements Policy, which will include the facilitation of all Checks, Notes, Drafts in accordance with ACLM-approved contracts and invoices.”

Nominating Board Chairman, Dr. David Donnersberger, Jr., wishes to notice all Fellows of the 2020 Election Slate of Candidates with the vote to be taken at the Fellows Meeting on February 21, 2020 in Scottsdale, AZ.  This Vote concerns the elections for the Board of Governors (BOG), and this serves as notification of the following:

  • Dr. Weldon Havins has been nominated to serve as Secretary during the next membership year.  

The Fellows presently elect three voting BOG members annually (this does not include ex-officios who serve on the BOG, but are non-voting).   This year’s slate is as follows:

  •  Dr. Tony Quang
  •  Dr. Joseph Piorkowski, Jr.
  •  Dr. Robert Harrison

Nominations may also be taken from the Floor.
 
We are looking forward to our 2020 Annual Meeting in Scottsdale and hope to see you there.
