Room Rate: ACLM has reserved a block of rooms at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans at a discounted rate of $175.00 per night (plus tax) for single/ double occupancy. Quoted room rates are subject to all applicable city, county, state and federal taxes that apply at time of room occupancy. The current tax rate is 13% plus $3.00 per room night.

Hotel Deadline: January 25, 2012 is the deadline to receive the ACLM group rate.

ACLM encourages you to make your reservation early, as the hotel and discount block may sellout before this date. After this date, reservations will be accepted on a space-available basis and higher rates may apply.

Hotel Deposit & Cancellation Policy
A deposit equal to one night’s stay is required to hold a reservation. These deposits are fully refundable if the hotel is notified 72-hours prior to arrival and a cancellation number is obtained.

Distance from Hotel: 14 miles ~ 18 mins

Driving Directions: From Louis Armstrong International Airport Take 61-S to exit 10E towards US-90 Business Westbank. Keep left at the fork and merge onto 1-10E, following the signs toward the Superdome. Turn right at Girod St. / W. Stadium Drive. Turn left at Loyola Avenue. You have arrived at Hyatt Regency New Orleans.

A cab ride one-way cost is approximately $33.00 from the airport to the hotel. The taxi pick-up area is on the lower level outside the baggage claim area. There may be an additional charge for extra baggage.

Shuttle Service
Shuttle service is available from the Hyatt Regency New Orleans to the airport (this way only) for approximately $25.00 per person.

The shuttle service from the airport to the hotels in the Central Business District (CBD) is $20.00 (per person, one-way) or $38.00 (per person, round-trip). Three bags per person. Call (866) 596-2699 or (504) 522-3500 for more details or to make a reservation. Advance reservations are required 48 hours prior to travel for all ADA accessible transfers. Please call well enough in advance for the specially-equipped shuttle to be reserved. Ticket booths are located on the lower level in the baggage claim area.

The destination for the 52 nd annual meeting of the ACLM is rich in history and culture. New Orleans is comparable to a good cup of the native's stew, gumbo: a vibrant mix of European and African ingredients, with a pinch of something secret. After much time simmering the result is an experience warm, soulful and wholly unique. The popular nickname for this lively city, "Big Easy,” comes from the history of jazz and was the name of a dance hall in the early 1900s.

New Orleans offers one of the most diverse options in cuisine. While some people eat to live, those from this city live to eat. With more than 1,000 restaurants, you will find just the right flavor to satisfy your hunger. Some of the neighborhood hotspots include Mother’s, Gumbo Shop and Café du Monde. At these culturally unique eateries you can indulge in New Orleans Fusion, in which the rising star chefs take their own spin on classic New Orleans dishes.

Shopping in New Orleans is an experience quite different from the typical mall. The Big Easy features an old-world market place with a mix of specialty shops, designer boutiques and galleries. Downtown you can visit the French Market, America’s oldest operating public market or find an antique item at the furniture, décor and jewelry shops on Royal Street in the French Quarter. Magazine Street, known as the "Street of Dreams” is a must for those who love to shop. With six miles of shops, boutiques, art studios, galleries and spas, it truly is a shopper’s dream.

Outdoor Recreation
The beautiful landscape of New Orleans offers opportunities for fresh and salt water fishing as well as conservation hunting. The city also features ecotours and swamp tours and opportunities for bicycling, running and bird watching. No matter what you chose, you will enjoy the lush and beautiful outdoors New Orleans has to offer.

Arts & Culture
The culture continues to thrive in New Orleans, where the first operas in America were performed in the 1790s. "The city that care forgot” was known as the cultural capital of the South with Greek revival mansions, foods featuring several cultures including Cajun and Creole and the variety of musical offerings. Today, the Big Easy is still known for these unique features and offers tourists a view into the history of the town with several world-class museums including The National World War II Museum and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art.

Early Registration Deadline
Meeting registration forms must be received by the ACLM Executive Office by January 23, 2012 to receive the discounted early registration rate. All forms received after this deadline will be assessed the regular registration fee.

Registration Cancellation & Refund Policy
Registration refund requests must be submitted in writing to the ACLM Executive Office by January 23, 2012. All refund requests will be subject to a $100 processing fee. No refunds will be made after January 23, 2012.
